Erik Salin, painter and sculptor, born in 1960 in Paris. He lives and works in the south of France where his workshop is located. Erik Salin is famous for colourful and exquisitely finished sculptures, adorned with  the logos of the world's most luxurious brands.

href="https://www.georgethorntonart.com/browse-art/lv-jerrycan" title="Louis Vuitton Jerry Can" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Petrol cans by Louis Vuitton, Chanel capsules, iconic orange Hermès shopping bags and captivating red Ferrari skulls,  Salin is heavily influenced by Andy Warhol and the Pop Art movement. Drawing inspiration from sources in popular and commercial culture, his artistic approach diverts objects from their original context, creating wonderful eye catching art and sculpture.

Salin explores and challenges the rules and flaws of consumer society by integrating advertisements with everyday objects, resulting in modern and glamorous sculptures. His audacious and surprising works reflect the free and unrestrained spirit of the creator.

Erik Salin's works are innovative, modern and contemporary, they satisfy the eye and create a profound link between the historic art movements and our current society's trends.
